Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
DJQ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the DJQ website and related services at djq.one. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our platform — including DJ accounts, live sessions, song requests, and tips.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use DJQ, we may collect:
- Account information — email address, authentication details (including Google OAuth), stage name, permalink, and optional Instagram username.
- Session & request data — session names, song requests, artist names, votes, and related timestamps.
- Payment information — tip amounts and payment status. Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage logs needed for security, fraud prevention, and reliability.
- Security signals — optional fraud-prevention and bot-protection signals (for example reCAPTCHA scores) when tipping is enabled.
2. How we use information
- Provide and operate DJ sessions, song request forms, voting, and tip flows.
- Create and manage DJ accounts, profiles, and permanent QR / permalink links.
- Process tips and payouts through Stripe Connect.
- Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- Send transactional emails such as account confirmation (via our email provider).
- Improve reliability, performance, and product features.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing and Connect payouts for DJs who enable tipping.
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Brevo — transactional email delivery (for example signup confirmation).
- Hosting providers — infrastructure that runs the DJQ application.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for authentication sessions, basic preferences, and payment return flows. These are necessary for the service to function.
5. Data retention
We retain account and session data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at djq.info@gmail.com.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s privacy
DJQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your choices
- Update profile details (stage name, Instagram, permalink) in Settings.
- Disconnect Stripe from your account settings where available.
- Request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us at djq.info@gmail.com.
9. International users
DJQ may be hosted and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using DJQ, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of DJQ after changes means you accept the updated policy.
